Free-to-play PC games now offer unbelievable quality. These of the best you can sample today. Money’s for suckers. This is a fact: you can play amazing full games without ever pirating anything. You can play dozens of them, in fact, and some are so good you kind of wonder how the hell anyone sells anything any more. While we all look away from that modestly-sized elephant, consider this: the array of free-to-play games on offer these days is truly bewildering, and you, being a time-challenged cog in the 21st century’s machine, have forgotten to type URLs that don’t begin with “facebook”. What to play? And where to find it? Here, in reverse order, are the top 23 b…

I bought one from Amazon but it was shite so I sent it back. It was meant to be 4k but it was terrible. I need something that films in HD so I can post to youtube. Also probably looking for something that I can fit an external mic to. Preferably something I can use indoors as well as outside in natural light. And my budget would be up to £350.

Thinking of getting one to use for, hopefully,Netflix, streaming footy(is that possible?)and just for playing a few fun games. I'm not interested in top spec games type machines as all I want is something for a little but of fun and a relatively low cost and the Wiis look like the cheapest and most affordable out there at the moment. Can anybody recommend games for it and are those fitness Wii games any good for fitness and fun too? Not into role playing stuff like Call of Duty types but more sporty sim,fun games. Cheers peeps.

Upgraded my HD ages ago from 500gb to 1TB, and I want to use the old one now for external storage - I've got one of those external jobbies to plug into my PC. However when I do my PC sees it as three different drives (see below) I just want to format the bloody thing so that it is one drive. Any ideas how I do this?

Started using this because the Catalina update on my Mac somehow coincided with a bug on Chrome and Safari making Search Baron my automatic browser even when I change it in the settings. Looked into it and its properly complicated to sort so my mate suggested Edge. Anyone else use it?

Anyone got any experience and recommendations? Our broadband is pretty quick but it lags a bit in the dining room, whicb I've taken over as my office. The Plusnet router is a few years old but seems ok when you're in the same room, I think I just need to extend the range a little. Running an ethernet cable through isn't an option, should I look to replace the router and go for a mesh system or go for a cheaper booster (there's some well reviewed Netgear ones in the £30-£50 range)?

I'm thinking of upgrading my TV. My current tv is connected up to a WDTV Live & a Raspberry Pi, i'm gonna move this setup to the bedroom. I have a budget of 1500, although obviously would like it to be a lot cheaper. I want a 60in. Most of the tv's ive looked at have been Smart Tv & 3d. I'm not arsed with the 3d at all. However, for people who have a Smart TV, is it worth having? Or shall i save me some money & just get a Standard Tv & buy another WDTV Live? Apart from Netflix what are the pros of Smart tv's? And will they stream media from my PC?

Not sure where to put this, so started a new thread. This guy's amazing, he helped design Syndicate and Theme Park with Bullfrog when he was still in his teens and was the AI programmer for Lionhead's Black and White a few years later. He then formed his own games company, went back to university to do a PhD and founded Deep Mind, an AI company which has just cracked how to predict protein folding structures. Oh, and he's on SAGE. https://www.theguardian.com/technology/2020/nov/30/deepmind-ai-cracks-50-year-old-problem-of-biology-research

Dying to play this again. Was gonna download it here to my Mac but I'm sceptical.... Anyone reckon this is legit or dodgy? Or has anyone else managed to get it recently? https://gamesnostalgia.com/download/championship-manager-season-9798/1512?t=97702231

The originals are free to download and play apparently vie here: https://cncnet.org/command-and-conquer Anyone tried it? I need something to do while I'm on lockdown but I'm not forking out for a game. I'm on a MacBook if anyones got any decent free game ideas. I had FM14 but she ran an update on this a few weeks ago and its corrupted the game via steam which is a bastard.

I just mentioned this in another thread but thought this deserved a thread of its own. Picked 1 up before Xmas for £32. Was looking into getting an Apple TV but this seems to do everything the Apple does. Xbmc being the main reason, live streaming footy onto your tv, stream anything you like, TV, film, sports. Even get the Sky channels through it. Also access media folders from your PC through it. There's also an app for it to use your phone as the remote. Best £32 I've spent. Here's a better explanation. Does anybody have one of these? Thinking of getting my 8 year old* the tabletop version for his birthday but prices range between £120 and £180 depending on the model. Most hold between 2500-3000 games but can't find much online with regards to reviews. He loves playing retro games and has the SNES reissue and Master System already. *I mean, it's for his birthday but I'm going to bladder it working from home the next few months.

I know we have a tech nerdy forum but no cunt goes on there and I want a proper poll. Who has the better consoles in the 90's? I'm sure we all had one (Well maybe not Tokyo and Stringvest). (I may have run this poll before.......... I'm bored and curious anyway)
