If we had to lose

Yes, I would rather lose a European match than one in the league. Hopefully, when we need to win our last game in Switzerland we will do it. We have done it before against Roma when we needed to win 2-0 and I think we can do it again. As for Saturday, then I have just read that Di Canio is out so that is good news. Hopefully we will get all 3 points on Saturday and not go on a run of defeats like Arsenal. I agree with you about Stevie G too, he is so much better playing in the middle, even when he is not at his best.

I agree with the comments about Diao. I think he is as good as Stevie G in terms of effectiveness. Good control, tackling, finishing. Top man really!

Given that they blame us for them not "conquering the world" in the 80s. Not to mention the minutes silence at goodison in the treble season. I am sure there are many more things but those are essentially 2 that stick in the mind.

Saints Worthington cup

On November the 6th we play saints at anfield in worthington cup. No disrepect to saints who have played some great fotie of late but should be give some of the more frindge players a chance or even give a youngster a chance ? My suggestion : Kirkland Carr - Traore - Hyppia - Vignal Smicer - Diao - Cheyrou - Berger Diouf - Baros Subs : Welsh, Mellor, Gerrad, Dudek, Babbel Knowing GH he wont change the team too much around.

According to John Mac (the one who organized the HJC auctions) FHM are currently in discussion with the HJC about the apology which is why it has been "postponed". this is what he said about it: "Just a point on the delay of the article. An apology will appear in the next issue of FHM to be published. FHM are currently in negotiations with the HJC for the publication of article which will be used to promote the cause and state the aims of the organisation. This will probably also be used to highlight the outstanding cases, miscarriages of justice and in all liklihood to highlight Ann Williams submission to the director General. It is hoped that negotiation…

I notice in issue 31 an article about stephane by Chris Smith , i thought it was a great article , but one point i did not agree with was chris dig at lawrenson, saying lawrenson was bitter because S H was a better player than he . Whatever we think of lawrenson as a pundit i personaly would not say SH was a better player , lawrenson was the best timer of a tackle in and around the penalty box i ever saw i think SH is a great player but lawrenson was up there with the very best.

I was queueing for Boro tickets at 11am when Danny Murphy pulls up near the office, presumably to pick up some tickets for Saturday. A kid who cant have been any older than 6 asks for his autograph and was dismissed as he was in a hurry. No need for it whatsoever, he just got in and out as quick as possible, not even stopping when Sue from the ticket office shouted him back. Danny should have took a look at that queue and remember that WE were taking time off work to go to wait in a line for an hour or more to pay HIS wages. Fair enough if he told an adult in a nice manner that he couldnt stop, but to fuck a kid off, that was out of order.

We beat Spurs 1-0 from a Jari 25-yarder last season - you must be thinking of another game.
