First he gives a yellow to Sissoko for basically stepping on Monreal and then sends off Mitrovic for pretty much the same thing.

Mariner with a strong shout for whopper of the week.

P.S: So much for being lenient, he has pretty much ruined the game from the first 10 minutes.

Mitrovic could have been a yellow. The replay showed his foot went down the shin a bit, so it was slightly more than just standing on his foot. He gave the ref a reason to show a red, but he was a bit unfortunate.

From then on it's been backs to the wall. Hopefully Newcastle can continue to hold on, but I can't see it.

As for Arsenal's striker options, Sanchez is very good indeed, but after him you can't say Giroud or Walcott are in the same class. They need someone like Benzema, but fortunately for us, the standard of player who can improve Arsenal up front is very hard to acquire.

Anyway, come on Newcastle!

Bilic has managed to get West Ham to win games away to Arsenal and ourselves, but his teams have struggled at home against so-called 'lesser' teams in Leicester and Bournemouth. Probably because - much like his Besiktas side against us last season - his teams are set up to contain and counter but don't really know what to do when they have to take the initiative in games and perhaps leave themselves more open to the counter in trying to create openings.

or maybe the Managers of the teams they've beaten are naive and only have one way of playing.  Arsenal narrow attacking, Us shit...

While there is something in that, I think it's more down to Bilic being more comfortable with a contain-and-counter approach than anything more expansive. His Croatia teams were exactly the same. He didn't set them up to play on the front foot either, instead utilising the technical ability of his players to break quickly and decisively.

Apparently, there have been more away wins than home wins in the Premier League so far this season, so the contain-and-counter ethos is pretty much the default mode in the division. If you've got players that work hard but can attack with pace, you stand a great chance of getting results away from home, judging by how this season has gone so far. Taking the initiative against sides intent to contain, and still coming away with the points, is something only Man City have got to grips with thus far.
