Everton have completed a deal to re-sign Pienaar from Spurs. Spurs bought him from Everton 18 months ago for £3m but sent him on loan to Everton in January. He's now 30, yet Spurs got £4.5m for him according to ESPN!

I think Rodgers would be more inclined to sell Skrtel than Agger. I also think Skrtel would be more inclined to leave. I don't think either of them are irreplaceable, even without Champion's League footie. Good players, but not so good that we can't replace them with £20+ million.

 

I wonder if Dempsey is supposed to be the replacement for Carroll. He is not an out and out striker of course, but I could see him playing a more advanced role for us. We would still need another forward though, imo.
