Today was a good day though - started re-designing Templehoff airport in Berlin and a monorail system that runs through the center of the city to the giant People's Hall project designed by Albert Speer.

Montauk and Outcast will be watched too if I remember them both, as will Luke Cage and Preacher, but will have to read some comics first for the last two.

You can generally tell how good a show is gonna be by the network that shows it. FOX, USA and SyFy are pretty much instant avoids for me. I'm also really worried about Preacher. Please don't fuck it up.

I'd like to be one of those people who can watch loads of TV but I've lost count of the shows I've tried to watch this year and given up after an episode or two. Maybe if I didn't have a job and had an never ending supply of weed I'd just sit about and watch stuff like Sons of Anarchy and Walking Dead but neither seems likely right now.

I think Elite will probably be right in that most of the shows there won't be good enough, am just glad that there's a good number of them there that I can at least hope are good, instead of barely being interested in any of them. I prefer the supernatural/magic in the type of fiction I watch/read usually as well, so The Magicians might be hackable for me. The other one I'm mostly interested in is Montauk, and I hope that it's inspired by some of the actual theories behind the area, because it could at least make for some good fiction if done properly. I personally find some of the theories connected to that area really fucking mental, but for fiction they could work well.

I don't think it can remain totally faithful can it? Some of it would be the most extreme stuff ever shown and I don't see that happening.

I'm reading Preacher now and I'm almost exactly half way through, and a lot of the extreme stuff takes place ' off camera ' such as when he commands the sheriff to go fuck himself resulting in him taking him literally and jamming his dick in his colon. You don't actually see it, it's just talked about.

 

I think they would need a bit of leeway but I think it could be quite faithful by following the same style of the comics and leaving some of the extreme stuff to the imagination. I'm more concerned with how they manage all the religious God is a cunt stuff on a major network.
