I didn’t realise until yesterday but they are at Arsenal on the last day of the season. Be beautiful of they had to try and help us win the title to avoid relegation, got a point, handed us the title and then still got relegated.

"Everton FC appealed the sanction imposed against it on nine grounds, each of which related to the sanction rather than the fact of the breach, which the club admitted," read a Premier League statement.

"Two of those nine grounds were upheld by the appeal board, which has substituted the original points deduction of 10 for six."

The appeal board concluded that the independent commission's initial ruling in November 2023 "made legal errors" on two grounds.

Wasn't the appeal heard by the same fellas?

Another 10 this season would relegate them.

Surely if was 6 for 1st breach it is 10 for 2nd...

Id love for it to be applied this season but we are already only 3 months out before its done with, add in the fact any points deduction will again be dragged through the appeals process and itll end up being given next season.

It’s actually a lot closer than I thought down the bottom…

…Burnley and Sheff Utd are gone, assuming Forest get -6 as well, they  will drop into the relegation zone and if The Ev get another -6 (or harsher) it’ll be incredibly tight down there.

I didn’t realise Brentford were in a much shit as they evidently are.

Everton severed commercial ties with companies linked to oligarch Alisher Usmanov, a former business partner of Everton owner Farhad Moshiri, following the start of the war and lost out on a £200 million naming rights deal for their new stadium at Bramley-Moore dock as a result.

That's an absolute joke. Does this mean they'll escape the further punishment, or does it mean they're likely to get another 6 points deduction?

I'd say the latter.

It would be watertight then....the league are playing the longer game here.

There will be a very clear 'ok this is now they accepted and agreed punishment'.....'so here is another 6 off now we have found you guilty for a 2nd time'
