2. Suarez - silky smooth skills just left me breathless today every time he touched the ball. He turned the Mancs inside out and it's a shame he wasn't on the end of a goal. Could have had a hattrick himself today too.

3. Raul - just everywhere today, dangerous in the box. Hipster dude coolly blocking that Berbatov header off the line like it was nothing.

Kuyt - even without the goals today he would have been in the top 2. Apart from a 15 minute spell in the 2nd half where he kept giving it away, an excellent performance, intelligent movement and good on the ball.

Suarez - intelligent, committed, full of skill, imagination and vision. And THAT run.

Kyrgiakos - an unusual choice perhaps, but it can't be overestimated how difficult it is to come into a match in that situation. He stood up to be counted on many occasions and even got an assist.

 

Everyone played well - a real team performance that added up to more than the sum of its parts.
