I don't even think there was contact. Certainly not enough to even remotely influence Berbatov's movement.

No contact if you watch the replay...

Webb couldn't wait to give it, and that smirk when he sent off Gerrard say's it all really...

This is the man who didn't give a penalty against Arsenal last season when Fabregas deliberately handballed it, despite him clearly seeing it.

Nothing, nothing suprises me with that utter prick.

Same man who failed to give a pen at home to Arse last season when Gallas chopped Gerrad at the knees. Same man who gave Mancs a pen for mascherano's tug on Valencai when it happened clearly outside the box (checked the freeze-frame!). Same man who tried to duck out of giving us a pen at the Toilet this season when Evans took both Torres' legs -only the linesman's frantic flag-wagging forced him to give it.

See the pattern?

Yeah, rather than investigating players taking the piss on twitter, perhaps just a "please explain" to the country's supposed top official as to what he found so fucking funny about such a supposedly serious incident.

He was smirking when he sent Gerrard off because he knows damn well nothing could ever come of it. He could of worn a United top on that pitch today and there'd still be people who refuse to believe hes a corrupt bellend.

Thats the problem. Too many people who just don't want to admit theres corruption in the game. People just bang on about Fergie having all the refs scared or in his pocket like thats not a form of corruption.

He's got a ridiculously high opinion of himself. Likes to think of himself as the number 1 referee, gets the decisions right. What's the best way of staying out of the media spotlight? Keep ginsoak happy.

They have a ridiculous influence on things. I don't think it's brown envelopes, but they really must use their stature as leverage on the various operations of the FA.

You can just see the slap head cheating twat watching the highlights of the match when he gets home with a box of kleenex and a bulge in his kecks. The prick loves nothing more than a big decision, he's in his fucking element. He pushes out his chest, struts off away from the play, arrogantly waiving the player towards him before lifting his card to the sky as if he's doing the YMCA. He's like a pig in shit when he knows the cameras on him, even more so when it's Liverpool he's about to swindle.

I agree it wasn't a penalty. Dive.

Neutral observers are saying they thought it was. Hence the debate.

The penalty doesn't stop us from creating chances like you say though. That's looking for excuses.

We dont need to create chance to still be in the cup, 0-0 would have been a decent result

How about Gerrard saves us the trouble by coming out and saying he thinks Webb is biased against us and shouldn't ref our games.

He's already got a 3 match ban, fuck em, might as well make it a 5 match ban and never have to worry about seeing Webb near us again.

Make yourself useful Stevie, pop the kettle on then phone up Winter.

Babel did on twitter and will end up being slaughtered for it.

He isn't even facing the right way when the challenge is made. Look:

Steven Gerrard red card v Manchester United

And as for the penalty, there is no contact whatsoever.

Ryan Giggs v Liverpool

Kenny said the same thing after the game. Webb wasn't looking, was going to let the game run and then all of a sudden after a few Manc players made a fuss he decided to do something. He was 100% going to let it go.

The manc players made the decision for him, scandalous.

Did anyone read Gerrards lips has he walked off? he deffo said "fuck off you manc twat" he was only a couple of yards away from Webb at this point so it wasn't at anyone in the crowd i wonder if it was dirrected at webb?.

Probably, God knows Gerrard has experienced Webb against Utd up through the years, what we see the players experience up close.....
