Yes there are loads of manager who would quit their jobs, but it doesn't mean FSG think they are the right person. Let's say they've identified someone, had initial discussion and the candidate said "I'm up for it but made a commitment to my club I won't walk out midseason." So in that situation, do you sack the current manager and select your 2nd, 3rd or 4th choice because they are available today or would walk out of their current job today, or do you say the best choice long term is to get our number 1 man? I believe the way FSG work, if that was the option they would wait. In fact Henry said as much tonight when he said the quickest decisions are not always the best decisions.

Agreed, im quite confident after last night that they're getting rid of him, he barely got any backing at all, it was a bit of a public bollocking really by the end of it just in a calm way.

Even forgetting his complete and utter lack of managerial ability im pretty sure his age would have been noted and it doesnt really work with long term plans.

The problem in the mean time is like people have said, all these names mentioned but Villas Boas is going to win the league with his home town team who he only joined a few months ago, he's not going to leave mid season. Klopp is going to win the German league, he's not leaving mid season. Deschamps is in the title race and next round of the CL, he's not leaving mid season, etc etc.

I'd prefer interim in the meantime just to get this fucking idiot out of here but maybe its not a route they see the point in unless things get completely desperate ie relegation.

Unfortunately I think they are going to stick with RH until the end of the season. I can't think of any suitable candidates barring Rijkaard available now and I have a feeling they will have identified who they want or they don't want to rush a decision. Hopefully Comolli will decide who we buy in January and come the summer the manager of their choice will be available such as Deshamps or Klopp. Coyle is another one that might be a bit of a gamble seen as he hasn't even managed a team in Europe before but he seems to have something about him.

The key to success is now patience - from my perspective we have now a set of owners whose business model is based on winning, as Henry and Werner have said many times everything else will stem from here. Not since the days of Peter Robinson has the winning mentality mindset been made clear from the very top of the organisation by a set of capable owners with a winning track record.

That's not right is it? Looking back both of Rafa's 80+ point seasons gave a better return. If you are saying that he has the best return per game of anyone you would consider as a temp' until FSG get the long term choice nailed down then I agree.

If I only counted Thompsons 14 wins he would have a 3 point average.

Dont forget Rafa also had seasons where he finished with 58, 68 and 63 points, those seasons are obviously included in Rafa`s average.

It doesn't bother me because I can't do more than I am doing, I can't work harder, I can't work better," added Hodgson, whose team play his former club Fulham at home in the league on Saturday evening.

"I have great confidence in my ability, I don't think there is any reason not to have.

"I know the players are working as hard as they can to win matches for Liverpool and therefore me as manager."

Yes, there is a reason; a very compelling reason. It's called a shit track record. He talks about his experience as if 35 years of failure-to-mediocrity were something to be proud of. There's certainly a reason he was stuck in shitty leagues for the majority of his career. It's because nobody of note wanted to hire him. And nobody of note wanted to hire him because he's shit.

Did I mention that he's shit? He's shit!
