The Guardian's sports correspondent Owen Gibson, on the ball as usual, has emailed to clear up the presence of Keith Edelman at the meeting: "Keith Edelman has been involved in the process as an advisor to RBS for some time - he will be at the board meeting in that capacity." So there we go.

Know what you mean mate. I'm just so fucking relieved that we're rid of the two cunts. They fucking robbed me of the passion I had for the club and football in general. Didn't think we'd ever fucking get rid of them.

 

Even if Henry is in it for the money, hopefully he won't treat us with the disgraceful contempt that the two cunts did.

Its highly likely that it came from money that the manager hoped to spend on new players and wages. Why? Because Keith Edelman could not find that £20m from anywhere else. That seems to be where the finances have gone wrong, and seems to be why Edelman was fired.
