Any change of management should come after we have got shot of the owners. What happens on the pitch is of secondary importance to what is happening off it. All attention should be fully focussed on the owners and RBS for the next few weeks at the very least, probably more. However bad things are on the pitch, we still need to get behind the players and show that our concern is the owners. Stuff like this just plays into their hands graham. Shelve all this. If we play like this up until December, then things will no doubt happen, but the only plea you should be making to the owners is "Please fuck off and never come back".

Sort of agree with this. Wouldn't want anything to happen until the refinancing deadline (nor will it I imagine).

bullshit, this is a matter of urgency and ownership doesn't come into it. Get rid of Hodgson now and get Dalglish in or Pellegrini, which is what should have happened

When you make a mistake you correct that mistake and you do so quickly.

Ownership issues aside, we should NOT be in the bottom 3 or in a relegation battle and now is the time to act. Not in several weeks when our fate could be humiliatingly sealed

Ownership doesn't come into it? Of course it does. Its the reason he is here to begin with.

Our whole future more or less rests on what happens this month. Its far more important than Roy Hodgson. Any managerial decision should be based on what happens on 15/10 (if anything)

Yes and the owners - or rather the people running the club such as Purslow - should correct their mistake, fire Hodgson and hire Dalglish or Pellegrini

They should do so now, not after an as yet undefined period when we may or may not have new owners, or we're being run by a bank all of which will take weeks and months to sort out.

This is imminent and pressing and must be acted upon otherwise we're heading for big trouble.

However, it would require someone with a massive ego like Purslow to eat humble pie and that cunt would rather go down with the titanic than do that. Such are people of his nature.

I fully expect them to do nothing as they're incompetent, egotistical no nothing twats but that doesn't stop us from demanding that they do the right thing.

.

And the club gets sold on 15/10 (far fetched but you never know) and the new lot don't want Dalglish or Pellegrini...

Our next game isn't until after the deadline apparently passes anyway, so there is very little to gain by not waiting until things become clearer.

I've said this on another thread Dalglish will not be given the job under the current regime, not gona happen and we all know why.

Pellegrini should have been given the job in summer, but don't see how he can be expected to turn it around without a budget , we won't be relegated we won't qualify fo Europe no matter who's manager

Sadly it aint bullshit it's common sense. With the current owners we’ll probably loose the few top class players we’ve got left. When that happens we should look for a manager with experience in avoiding relegation. Someone who knows where to pick up enough points to stay clear.

But, hey that’s Roy isn’t it?

No manager in the world can make a world beater out of Poulsen, even God Allmighty would fail trying to do that.

Let’s make our priorities perfectly clear:

1. Get rid of the leeches

2. Then look for another manager.

You can support the team all you like, but when the club’s destroyed what team are you going to support?

And this is a plea to the writer: Get behind the team.

If you think someone who hasn't coached in 10 years is the answer to our on-field problems, I'm afraid I have to disagree.

If you think someone who has won fuck all of any note in 35 years is the answer to our on-field problems, I'm afraid I have to disagree.

Get rid of the fucking defeatist loser.

Tony Evans, Football Editor

October 3 2010 11:18PM

Bill Shankly died 30 years ago this week. The edifice he built at Anfield has been slowly dying for more than three years.

Yesterday, it was clear how critical this club’s condition has become. Liverpool, already dumped out of the Carling Cup by Northampton Town , are now in the relegation zone. Defeat by Blackpool was no shock to anyone who has studied the decline of England’s most successful club.

None of Anfield’s endemic problems can be laid at Roy Hodgson’s door but he has not helped matters. Hodgson is just not up to the job. He does not understand what it means to be a Liverpool manager. That shows in his refusal to take his bosom-buddy Mr. Ferguson to task when the Scot accused Fernando Torres of cheating; it shows in his constant talking-up of ordinary opposition and talking down of expectations; it shows in tactics that waste the talents of Torres and Steven Gerrard.

Kenny Dalglish knew Hodgson was not the man to revive Liverpool. The second-greatest figure in the club’s history said as much when he offered to become manager despite Hodgson’s candidacy.

The Kop know it, too. They chanted “Dalglish” in the wake of defeat yesterday. They know this game. Unlike the men in the boardroom. Christian Purslow, an equity dealer turned club executive, talked up the acquisition of Hodgson as the deal of a lifetime. His opinion was endorsed by Martin Broughton, the chairman, who also fulfils the same role for British Airways. Neither man has even two years’ experience in football. Neither can expect a protracted career in this sport.

After the international break loom Everton in a defining derby. In the meantime, the financial future of the club will be decided by Royal Bank of Scotland, which is owed £285 million by Tom Hicks and George Gillett Jr.

The carpetbagging Americans owners need to be run out of the club. Their City-gent appointments will follow in quick order. And Hodgson? He shows no sign of being able to handle life at Anfield.

It is time to call on Dalglish, the only man who can salvage Shankly’s legacy.

I dont think Kenny would mind taking on a caretaker roll untill the ownership issues with the club are settled. I think he'd be quite happy to step aside if the new owners wanted their own man in. I dont think there would be a problem with that at all.
