Meireles is quickly gaining the "Patrick Berger Trophy for potential fans favourite who the manager never plays and when he does, plays him out of position" award - if there was ever such a thing....

 

Surely with Gerrard not travelling it's an ideal opportunity to see what he can do in the middle?

 

Overall, every time I've seen what Roy is doing since the start of the season, my first thought is, "Thats worrying"!

What an uninspiring midfield, no pace and no creativity. Torres and Cole will need to play through balls to themselves.

Poulsen is Roys Lucas only he's older, slower and a worse tackler.

 

Not true. Older - yes. Slower - yes. Shitter - probably. Worse tackler than Lucas - simply not possible. Lucas has a few attributes which make him a decent player, but tackling is definitely not one of them. I've never seen a Liverpool player give away more silly, reckless free-kicks than the Brazilian.

Hmmm!

 

Roy needs Shelvey, Pacheco and Ince etc to come through, essentially because he has no money, so maybe he should look at ways of integrating them into the set up, rather than playing them out of position and turning on them as soon as it goes wrong.

 

Cole on the left, Meireless in the middle alongside Lucas and Kuyt on the right, and Pacheco off Torres is something he could do with playing, for the benefit of the squad if nothing else.

I don't have too many complaints with the lineup. Lucas + Poulsen isn't nice, but ok in this game only because we don't really need to win.

 

Didn't like Hodgson saying that 1 point from this one might be a good result, but then again - it might. We don't need to win it, but with Cole, Kuyt and Torres in there you'd expect us to!

 

We need a confidence booster, but this won't be easy mainly because we got too many palyers who don't offer anything going forward and we're far from solid defensively.

To be frank Roy, you should fuckin know, try asking him. You must have watched countless fuckin games involving Nando, I reckon I know the answer and that's a no from me, you just gotta get your selection & tactics and give him some fuckin service.
