Potato cake in Liverpool. Sayers used to do a lovely round one. I'm ready to cook a new batch this week.

I got some duck eggs yesterday so decided this morning to have a look around the freezer for some odd sausages and see what I could do to make a fry up. It included converting some left over potatoes from Friday into a potato cake. There was fungus and tomatoes too for other members of the fambo, but I don't do fungus and I don't mix beans and tomato. The sausages were great from Taylor's farm shop, one coarse pork and one Cumberland. The pork was better. I ran out of pan space for bacon, so chanced it in the grill, which overcooked it. The eggs are not overcooked although they look it, it's just how those duck eggs go with the lid on the pan.

Your legs look like undercooked baguettes. They’re still more appetising than this breakfast.

I've been a few times and keep going late when the place is stripped bare! So I haven't seen them. My favourites I've had off them is the pork and chorizo, although I wouldn't have them for breakfast. I reckon the best breakfast I've had are the pork course ones I had today.

It's only a few minutes away from me. Not the cheapest but top quality stuff. Their steaks are amazing and they do a very nice peppercorn sauce.

Mrs HL reckons the prices have flown up though since the lockdown and refurb.

I recommend their Ulster fry if you can get it.

I will give the Ulster a go. I stopped eating it when it changed in my local butcher.

It is expensive for somethings. The steak can be ok in price. I got a 1kg rib on the bone steak a little while back for about 16 or 17 quid. I like the ribs too.

It's about a 20 min drive for me.

This is now annoying me way more than it should. WTF would you have knife and fork the wrong way around? My OCD is working overtime.
