I just read this entire thread, noteable low point, when the guy had a glass of water between a 4 bottle session, Robbieor told the worst anecdote of all time about drinking Tuborg, and LF persistently mentioning Cider, which is a drink for people who can't drink lager.

Fuck all wrong with Carling , fosters etc , all cooking lagers really , so according to the pocket these will do.

Fuck the real ale drinkers too , not that I've anything against real ale it's just when your waiting to be served and they're fuckin around sampling them all before deciding , and they are experts on bow it should be kept and served , which is probably the main talking point when out with like minded chums

Even worse when you kindly let them get served first , then they order food with no sense of urgency.

Had to wean myself off cider , the heroin of ale, everything else tastes shite even lager. It was like drinking pints of doughnuts for me but very nice.

Imagine my excitement yesterday when I saw that Tesco were selling Sam Adams Rebel IPA and it was imported, not brewed in the UK. I was so excited I almost dropped a bottle.

I thought I was pretty up on my Belgian beers but I'd never heard of it. There is a 6% blonde one in the set as well as a 10% trippel for when I'm feeling braver.

If you're in Liverpool the Ship in a bottle shop on Whitechapel in town is where mine was purchased. Don't think it's stocked in supermarkets so it'll be in specialty shops.

They do a few special offers in-store in the Ship. They sometimes tend to throw in a couple of glasses if they're in a good mood.

I had to set out some beer traps for the slugs on the allotment.  I picked up a four-pack of Skol and I've left it in the shed to get warm.

Went to the Birkenhead Beer festival last night at Prenton Park. Had a great time but can't remember the names of many of the beers I sampled. Standouts were Pale Rider and Chimp-chim-er-nee.

Specialist beer shop, The Ship in a bottle in town. I only got two which are gone now, regretting not getting a few more.
