Spill the beans Stouff, you not protecting us from communists any more?

War is a helluva game but just like Sgt Elias; every man's time must come to an end.

I'm going to the nuclear sector (it's pronounced "nuke-u-lar") so if you pass a damn sexy bald headed dude with a slight glow in the street stop and say hello.

In fact I might grow a comb over for the full Homer effect.

  • 1 month later...

Working long hours to afford a bigger house or car etc leads to an early grave. If you can house and feed your family and afford a holiday that's all you need.

I wouldn't voluntarily work more than 40 hours a week, by that I mean I'd leave the job to get one with better hours as long as the pay was enough to live on.

Congrats. You don't choose easy work, do you?

Haha - I'd be bored stupid.

They're a great organisation and do some amazing work. They're talking about me managing a project with the Future 4 Me programme to specifically work with extreme cases, link up with the local YOI, MAPPA and manage the case load of those on the sex offenders register.

You'd be your own boss then? Managing your own caseload?

not initially, I'll be going in to manage a caseload of between 8-12 young people, specifically those with MH, LD or an ASD.

They invited me in for a chat though when I was waiting for police checks to ask me if I would apply to manage this new project they're setting up and my ideas on how it should be run.

I was referring to you managing the case load of sex offenders...

Good luck though! Sounds interesting.

Me: ok.*
