I've downloaded quite a bit of their stuff, but it's not growing on me just yet. I always give stuff 5 plays before giving up on it, as I have to understand why I like it / don't like it (I'm slow like that). I'll keep you posted :)

I love this video - taken from Saturday Night Live. He decided a few bars in that doing a song about Oswald Mosely in the US might not be appropriate, so cut it and went over to this. Apparently his record company were livid and pulled the plug. Very amusing, and very probably staged.

Weird performance that. Whilst we are on the subject of Costello check out the breaks on

. DJ Shadow would be proud of the drumming break at the start of the tune. Class sound.

Pete Thomas - fantastic drummer. In fact all of his band were/are fantastically competent... Bruce Thomas (no relation to Pete) is the most melodic bass player, and Steve Nieve a keyboard maestro. Tight as a gnat's chuff, despite having to pretend to be punks for the first few years...
