See, I like the show so far but that final scene in episode 3 is the same sort of stuff that made Game Of Thrones become pretty stupid. Ridiculous, unrealistic battle scene where one of the protagonists runs through a million arrows and is unkillable.

Superb so far with three the best of the lot.  Really didn’t expect it to be after the meal they made of the best show ever.  Maybe the low expectations helped.

The battle scene was fine apart from the Rambo Targaryen segment but I suppose that's to build up Daemon's lore.

That's the first one I haven't liked. The court intrigue is usually my favourite part, but I don't find The Princess moping and being sullen very interesting. I also don't need to see the dragons in every episode, they're special and should be used in climatic battles not against someone called the crabfeeder who was in three scenes.

And killed off what looked like the most intriguing character of the bunch so far.

 

Ah well, if they're not going to surprise, at least it's been well-crafted and entertaining.

Interesting. I wouldn't call him the most intriguing character, he was basically given a few seconds of screen time and didn't have any lines. He was a glorified extra.

Would like to of seen the crab King actually be killed and I'm not having some random none Targaryan dude flying the dragon dont care if he's got white hair. It's all feeling a bit predictable. The plan at the end for him to go full one man army was the shittest plan ever. I didn't like the episode.

That's what I thought would happen, thought it would get him in the gut or catch his neck, but they did that in the first season of GoT with the boar.

 

One thing they've made a big decision to change in this series compared to the original is the lack of up-aging of it's characters.

 

I know it's more accurate and what might have happened in real life with Kings and succession but it's still weird watching a character decide whether to fuck a 12 year old or a 15 year old, or whether to betroth a 2 year old.
