Ah well, was fun watching them sweat for a while, but sadly this will give them just the sort of boost they needed. As bad as they are, there are just too many really bad teams in the premier league for them to get relegated at the moment. Leeds have been atrocious this afternoon.

Agree about the posts about Bielsa. Four years in a country and you still need to have someone translate for you in every media event is ridiculous. If he was an English manager in Spain or Italy he'd get called a lazy ignorant Englishman. Pochettino got slated when he was Spurs manager for not speaking English but he wanted to be fully fluent and confident expressing himself before doing his interviews.

Bielsa can be excellent, obviously, but his teams have a very short shelf-life. The wheels were always going to fall off at Leeds very quickly, such is the way they play and the energy they have expended in recent years, and the fundamentally poor quality of the players they have. There is nothing surprising about a Bielsa team collapsing after an initial surge - it happens everywhere he goes, his way of playing is unsustainable without a Guardiola-like squad. Guardiola would almost certainly be the same at a lesser team / squad.

Perhaps the prospect of relegation focused a few minds . The pace and tempo they played with today would have caused better teams than Leeds problems. They wont keep it going of course but they wont go down
