Keir Starmer

Starmer has essentially helped destroy the Tory party.

He's completely sewn up the centre ground so they've been forced to move further and further right and base their entire ideology on Daily Mail headlines.

Someone was on that Peston bollocks the other day or something similar talking about them tanking in the polls, and saying Sunak was facing 'pressure to move further to the right'.

Great, I say.

The massive fear is that Starmer's Labour, in power, fail to deliver meaningful, tangible improvements in living standards for working class people, leading to even more widespread cynicism and apathy - the fertiliser for Fascism - when the next General Election comes around.

That is exactly what will happen.

Brexit, Tories & Ukip don't happen in a vacuum.

This is not the death of the tories just a breather.

Ever since Farage became UKIP leader, him and that section of voters have had control over the Elections.

2015 - Farage lead UKIP get 12.6% of the vote meaning no Labour government and Tories get a small majority.

2017 - Farage not really involved so big swing back to Labour under Corbyn, May loses tory majority.

2019 - Farage lead Brexit Party only stand in Labour areas, leading to massive Tory majority under Big blonde sex yeti.

2024-  Farage associated Reform party will take lots of votes off Tories leading to big Labour majority.

I'm not sure if they will ever get enough support to break the first past the post system and start winning seats but they will likely be the kingmakers for the considerable future.

im not sure sure

support for the tories and the likes of reform amongst young people,is miniscule.

They have grown up in a multi cultural country and are less likely to brown people ,for all their problems.

I don't think Labour have gone that far to the right, although they're getting there.

Which is precisely what will happen. The country will not except more torylight austerity rubbish from Reeves/Starmer/Labour, they are crying out for change.

Then why are Labour courting them and not the youth with any messages of hope?

I mean this just pandering to the hopeless while vilifying the helpless.

Apart from the horribly racist tone of that flyer, why are they fighting local elections on national issues?

Where’s that from? It’s grim. Gotta be in Kent somewhere, surely?

I’m a serial leafletterer, hands down #1 in my branch and CLP. There’s no way we’d ever have that printed, let alone put through people’s doors.

Don't be surprised if Streeting, Lammy, Reeves end up doing very well for themselves by filling their own pockets. Big money in the private health and finance sector for a start.

Because young people will vote for them anyway/won't vote at all.

The battleground is the red wall. The red wall hates darkies and loves wetherspoons.

Their is no battleground. The Conservatives are not winning the next election, they imploded a long time ago. Read the pollster John Curtice article further up this page on their chances, or lack of them.

If anyone truly believes the Tories have a chance I suggest they place a small wager with any high street bookmaker. You'll be laughed out of the shop but be a rich man if the nonsense did happen.

The Tories' polling changed in 48 hours after Truss balsed up the economy.

If the S*n, Mail and all those other cunts went hammer and  tongues after Labour, I absolutely guarantee we'd end up with  a hung parliament.

Is the flyer national or aimed at specific areas on the south coast?

You keep mentioning this. The Tories were in trouble long before the Truss budget. They got rid of Johnson because they were nosediving in the polls and unless they rolled the dice they were on course to get hammered at the next election. They didn't suddenly find their moral compass.

https://pa.media/blogs/fact-check/tories-were-12-points-behind-labour-in-the-polls-when-boris-johnson-stood-down/

Their is no battleground. Its not 4D chess, it's who Labour are. It's who they want to be.

https://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/politics/99-per-cent-labour-win-election-curtice-b2519272.html

Not sure how people imagine that without these pledges to  protect business and the rich voters would be put off voting Labour works anyway.

Hardly going to get them rushing to the polling booths this announcement.

As they say, and say and say and say, they're the Tories now. I believe them, that's what they are.

That's not true, though.  People with shit, precarious lives constantly get told - by the Far Right, the Tories, the Murdoch/Rothermere media and now the fucking Labour Party - that the reason their lives are shit and precarious is because there are too many darkies and not enough Wetherspoons.  The red wall are just trying to protect themselves against what they are relentlessly told is a threat.

It'd be nice if someone told the truth and treated them as adults, but this iteration of the Labour Party won't do that.

I'm assuming it's targeted to those areas, but no Councillor is going to do any of the stuff on the flyer: that's all in the government's purview.

Of all those mentioned, it's that little twat in bold I hate the most, he's like the result if a cloning experiment when they've tried to replicate Peter fucking Mandelson.

Horrible horrible little shithouse.
