I’ve had a pair of Ken Cole boots that have lasted over a decade. I’d happily buy the same pair again but can’t find the style I want and the prices are ridiculous.

I bought a pair of standard green wellies  for a fiver the week I started work down in Devon. This was the week of 9/11.

 

I use them for going round farmyards, rural site visits, heavy winter walking etc 

 

21/22 years later they are going strong. They might last a whole career at this rate.

 

This is not a Triggers Broom scenario, but you might ask have you actually done any work in them? and that’s a fair and legitimate question to be fair.

Just got a pair of black Clark’s Wallabees Hike with a chunkier sole and weather-proof detailing. Got them in the sale for £85 reduced from (ridiculous price) £280. They’ll be boss for work and lunch duty now the weather has gone fully shite.

Got a pair of Caterpillar boots nearly 20 years ago now. Relegated to allotment duty these days but still going strong.

I absolutely love the Dr Martens Lawford boots, I've had a couple of different pairs in the last 7/8 years. Frustratingly, they seem to have ditched them and I can't find any ready for when I need my next pair.

 

 

Edit - I think the "Chukka" boots may have replaced them.
