The Pros and Cons of living in a tourist destination

It’s full of Americans at the minute taking pictures of anything they see. Also loads of Chinese and Japanese tour groups being led about by weirdos with a big placard. Loads of Spanish as well.

 

Not enough to say there are too many to cause any hassle or congestion though.

 

Ended up going to the Braehead shopping centre to avoid the crowds. It was fucking shite and I came home with fuck all. I hope the twats on the bikes had a massive pile up.

 

Liverpool is so much better for buying decent clobber. They all were ellesse and Levi t-shirts here, the scruffs.

Only ever been to Morecambe once & my daughter was in one of the penny arcades when a trampy-looking guy came over to me. Without really thinking I got a pound coin out and gave it to him. He told me to fuck off and that he was only looking for directions , and threw the coin back in my chest. The Mrs still skits me about it now.

I make my living off Cornwall tourists so I cant really complain about them. The locals call them "emmits" as if they are ants swarming all over the place.

 

Cornwall tends to be for families/surfers for the beaches or older couples for walking and the gardens. Newquay is the exception where you get stags/hens and is a bit of a shit hole.

Reminds me of my late Uncle at his wife(my Auntie) her funeral. He answered the door and told them no thanks as he thought it was 'a couple of gypsies' until they said they were nieces of his wife.Scruffy mares had barely taken the time to dress up for the funeral!
