The other week Dave Whelan made a comment about jews liking money and he was fucking pilioried on here.  Rightly too.  He's also being investigated by the FA.

 

Granted, it's not at what I'd call the harsh end of racism, genuine idealogically founded race hate, Whelan wasn't making Auschwitz jokes and shit, but it's racism, plain and simple, in that it is peddling a race-based stereotype and if any dribble-chinned fucking 1970s timewarp wanker wants to suggest that makes me part of the infamous 'pc brigade' then frankly you can go fuck yourself with a stick.

 

The issue (for me at least) isn't whether Whelan (or Balotelli) think what they have puportedly said/posted or not by the way.  Opinions will always cover the entire spectrum and I've never been a believer in telling people what they should think but in 2014 most people recognise that those views are from the fucking dark ages and if you do happen to hold them, you're probably best off keeping quiet about it lest you reveal your mongish nature to the wider world.

 

For Balotelli to post that whilst an investigation is being done into a Chairman who said the same thing and (only verbally, not via the medium of a lame meme from about 2003) and whilst playing for a club who have had a major hatchet job done on them already by the press for the actions of a previous striker doesn't prove that he's a dyed-in-the-wool racist.  It does however prove that he's a complete fucking moron, press will be all over this.  I bet FSG will be delighted too and I'm sure it's just what Brendan needed on the back of us getting a win.

I stopped watching the news in any depth about 4 years ago because it just made me angry and miserable and I never read anything in the papers about football, I don't watch the press conferences, analysis or after match interviews. 

 

It's fucking bliss.
