Looks light for goalscorers, we've sold three and bought three and made a big profit on them. However Origi isn't available and this year we don't have the luxury of fewer games and it's fairly likely we'll see more injuries as a consequence. I'm not convinced Lambert is enough to have in reserve, he's completely untested in Europe too.

If balotelli or sturridge get injured we'll play one up front with lambert in the bench, it will take a lot of bad luck for both to get injured so I don't see the need of having another striker who will barely get on the pitch.

They may both get injured, then it's a massive gap in ability to Lambert as much as people are pretending otherwise.

Seems a strange move borini going to qpr ahead of Sunderland, there's not much between the teams and with the belief poyet has shown in borini you would think Sunderland was the best move for him.

We lost 4m but 10m is still a good deal for us for Fabio, assiadi must be regretting turning down the permanent move to stoke as hes going there anyway and getting no pay rise at all.

Sounds like it's similar to the deal we were getting from Sunderland anyway.  £10mill upfront  plus the rest in add ons.

Where do we all see lallana playing, I"m wondering does brendan see him as one of 2 runners in the 3 man midfield. As in gerrard deep lying midfielder with Henderson and lallana in front pressing and winning the ball back. So in that 3rd midfield position we have Allen, lallana, coutinho and can competing for one spot. Obviously lallana and coutinho can also play at the top of the diamond, but Raheem really has made that position his own on the past 6 months.

Of course it's a squad game and there will be a lot more rotation this season due to the volume of football the squad will be required to play.

from the mirror:

The Express and Metro are reporting the Red Devils have been offered Joao Moutinho by agent Jorge Mendes, who also takes care of Falcao and Angel Di Maria's, among other players.

He'd be a brilliant player for those cunts and he's what they need

Mendes is pissing himself all the way to the bank...
