Surely everyone's dream job when they were younger (perhaps it still is?) Does anyone know anybody who works in the industry? Is it really as ace as sitting around eating haribo and drawing cars on Maya? I'd have loved to be involved when I was younger, I'd either have worked for OCEAN or Mean Machines in the same office as Jazz Rignall.

Yep, me again. I seem to be having more problems, than a guy who usually gets them. Anyway, I downloaded an icon pack from deviant art for my dock, go to delete the file after ive moved them all into the file the dock has for its images and I close down my computer for the night. Next morning, I get back on it and the file is back on my desktop. I try to move it back to the recycle bin and get this message. Any ideas?

Looking for a 2nd hand mobile but have no real idea what to go for. Used to have a Samsung U600 which went faulty. Mate managed to get £40 for it on e-bay. Can add some more to total, about another £40, but haven't got a clue what to go for. Tried a Nokia 5310, which i thought was shite as i use my ipod for music, so not overly fussed if it is more of an mp3 player. Basically, i have no real clue and am not being much help. Any ideas people?

This is lovely. Coming to a laptop/pc near you in a few years time, if we are lucky. I remember Minority Report used experts and futurists to predict what technology was going to be available in 2045 (cant remember the exact year it was set in). Well they were being a bit conservative with this prediction because we've got it ticked off already. By the way, for anyone who has seen that recent webcam gesture system which i can't remember the name of - it's not that. This is something that will probably take a bit longer to get onto your laptop. There's a link to a vid here Oblong's g-speak: the 'Minority Report' OS brought to life - Engadget

Is there a way, to make a path out of something, without using the pen tool? For example, I want to make a selection of something, usually using the magic wand for this sort of thing, except I find it easier to edit paths rather than using the eraser and other stuff... If you have any idea what I mean then let me know.

Had an interesting experience today. A £400 Dell Optiplex beat the shit out of a £5000 Mac Pro in a non-scientific test of mine. I almost made our Mac guy cry when I gave him the news.

Xbox 360 has gone down in price to 170euros and i'm tempted but if i want to go online do i have to buy a wireless adapter for another 70euro and pay another 50euro on top of that to just play? A game is then another 50euro so thats about 340 euro where the playstation 3 80g is 450 plus a game. Help me as my brain is mush on what to do!

...Decent Text Graphics for Photoshop? I want to mess around with some poster pictures for films, bands etc, and I would like it to keep the same text style for the writing when I change some words on it eg the Star Wars lettering. Anyone got any information they could provide? Much Kudos in advance.

Rock Band

I bought Rock Band today with the add on Drum Set for PS3 and it, erm, rocks. The Drum Set includes four pads which are a snare, hi-hat, ride and crash. The hi-hat and ride turn in to toms during fills. I was a tad disappointed with the responsiveness of the pads when I first hit them as they're nowhere near as bouncy as a finely tuned snare, but after playing the tutorial and a couple of songs on Medium level I'm hooked. I got 92% on Rock 'N' Roll Star by Oasis, which has an awesome extended ending with freestyle bits. The parts where you rock out and go for the big crash/bass drum combo are great. The bass (or "Kick" for the Yanks) pedal is pretty good. It ev…

My harddrive
by Acid- 10 replies

My harddrive, is split into Acer C: and Acer D:. The C bit is where all my default crap that builds up on my laptop goes to, and is where I installed nearly all my programs. The C bit is filling up very fast all the time, and just now it prompted me to delete some things from it because I only have 100mb left, and I also had an option to delete some programs I dont use. I went onto the add/remove programs bit and it said I only have 2gb of programs on it. So Im really confused. What else is on my harddrive?? Its a 50gb harddrive, 100gb overall, 50 on each C and D. Anyway, whats taking up 48gb of space on my disk? Its not all my personal files, because when I realised…
