Speakers for a laptop

Get an old pair of headphones and two empty plastic water bottles, two litre size. Cut the top thirds off the two bottles to get a cone/funnel like shape. Then sellotape the tops of the cone thingies to the speakers on the headphones. Hey presto!

NB: you can use different sizes of plastic bottle.

If your missus's laptop has a firewire port, I can recommend the Lacie firewire speakers - loud enough, and they take the power from the firewire port, so no additional ugly wiring required. Plus they look like those things on the top deck of ships . I have some and I like them.

Cheers for the tip. I would have to look as i can't remember if it has a firewire port on hers.

The rest of you can fuck off.
