Every player is made aware of the clubs stance on that rag when they sign. No excuse for this shit, it's hardly a brief reference burried in paragraphs of text is it? Not only will he be aware, his agent will too.

Did you actually read what I wrote? I said he may not have seen the site or been responsible for the note on twitter telling people to check the site out. If so he may not even know about the mistake on his site which is not to say he isn't aware of the policy. Not all players are Ryan Babel - they don't all have 100% involvement in their online presence all the time.

Now I would have thought there was no shortage of real shit for us to be concerned about without jumping to conclusions about this.

Regarding the Google ads, I was under the impression that far from being totally random, they actually pick up on content from the page and/or website which influences what ads are shown, may be wrong like. But if that's right then it means that the S*n getting mentioned on here regardless of the negative context would influence the ads in this way which would explain why there would have been their ads on here (never seen them myself but haven't been a member that long)

the sun will target their adverts at words like football, gerrard, torres etc, rather than "The Sun" i would have thought. dave had specifically requested no Sun adverts and they fucked it up.

I did read what you posted and my post wasn't in response to you.

I'm of the opinion that Glen and his management team are well aware of the club's stance on the s*n, as it's something that all new players have drummed in to them. Therefor they should be responsible enough to inform whoever is doing this work on Glen's behalf of his responsibility as a Liverpool player to not have this piece of shit quoted on the front page of his website. If he's had it taken down then great, and I don't think he intentionally did it to piss supporters off, but there is no excuse for it to appear in the first place. He's on the best part of 100k a week of our money to prevent these little slips from happening.

Edit.

When I posted "not only will he be aware, his agent will too" I was referring to the club's stance against the sun, not what was on his front page.

I just dont like this fella as a player or as a person.

I think hes very lucky to be where he is,with us and playing as a top level pro.

I think that when Chelski fucked him off the alarm bells should have rang.

Theres only Chelski,i think, where he wasnt involved in a relegation battle and that includes us at the moment.

Fair enough, we can agree to disagree. I would love to live in a world where the people you pay to do things on your behalf etc never fuck it up, sadly I don't live in that world and I suspect neither does Glen Johnson. In fact I swear half the contractors I use are instructional dyslexics - whatever the fuck you tell them - they do the complete opposite.

Bottom line I think people have used this to criticise Johnson because of his form - but there is no need - people have more than enough grounds to criticise him for things we are sure he is responsible for.

Look, the bloke has had HELL to deal with all season with his hair! Every time he gets it just right, a strand will slip down and drive the poor bastard crazy. It's SO distracting for him. I'm not surprised he's been so shite for us - hair is fecking important and it HAS to do what you want it to do. Frankly the guy deserves an ovation just for coming out in public with out of control hair. Leave him alone!!
