I too echo the sentiments that he was back to his best on Sunday, I thought he was poor last season, but that goes for most of our players. Good too see him playing well.

He was good in January/February when he played with Soto on weekly base and then put MOM performances against City and Arsenal with Agger before he injured himself against Urziceni. So hopefully autumn 09 was just a bad spell for him.

That is true himself and The Greek did play well, but I wouldn't call against City a MOM performance. I felt he looked short of confidence all last season though. He still needs to be more commanding in the air.

He is weak but he looked really good in the air on sunday so maybe Roy has been working on it with him, or he simply likes the new system of marking at set pieces better.
