Slightly different take on NM - saw an interview with him this morning when his hatred for MUFC came over as he talked about PNEs fan base and said many from the area go to watch us and Everton and even (quote NM) 'tho I hate to say it Man U' - with that attitude hes a Red thats for sure and so he will always be a popular player among our fans - but I'd have to say that those saying he was not good enough are right ....sadly.

 

He was a City fan originally if I remember correctly. I think his old man used to play for them back in the day.

Who knows? Since I've left Alty he's probably going about, wasting his cash on expensive but mediocre haircuts, completely unchecked.

 

He lives by me in Ormskirk now, I've bumped into him in the Morrisons a couple of times. We've got a Toni & Guy in Ormskirk, but I haven't seen him in there any time I've been in....

The Nob Enders at work all seem to have something against Mellor.

 

When the rumour was circulating that David Nugent was on his way back during the transfer window, all they could say was that they hoped he came back and Mellor fucked off as Nugent was a better striker.

 

Nugent was more clinical but he was also a lazy bastard according to my Dad. He prefers Mellor purely for his workrate alone.

 

I liked him at Liverpool and was happy to see him go to Preston when he knew he wasn't really going to become a regular striker for the first team.

Just watched the lad on the bbc highlights, scores a well taken goal but he needs to lose a serious amount of weight. He better be careful because carrying that gut around on dodgy knees is going to cripple him.

 

Missed it, I haven't got widescreen.

He was always let us say, a big fella. Every time I see his name that goal he scored against Arsenal flashes through me head, what a goal.
