Bought it today and quite like it. Need to work on my decision making as far as runs are concerned.

 

They turn to go back a lot slower than on the last version and the fielders destroy the stumps quite often. This is something that seemed to take a whole innings to soak in to my thick skull, as player after player trudged back to the pavillion after being run out.

 

Started an ashes series on normal and the batting seems easy enough, and much more interesting with front and back foot involved and leaves not hurting your confidence. Bowling seems hard work though. Not that hard to keep it tight but abything above that, as in taking wickets, seems to be very hard work. Can't imagine it being a bag of laughs to take wickets on hard considering it's not that simple on normal.

And I am fucking woeful at batting against spin.

 

Get down the pitch and meet the pitch of the ball. I struggle as well but rampaging down the pitch tends to put the spinner off.

Yeah I have some success with that, but get stumped a bit too

 

On bowling, I haven't done that much yet, but I found that keeping it straght for 4 then throwing in an in/out swinger seemed to work. I also bowled a few short ones then followed it up with a fuller one. Got a few wickets. Was only against the Windies though.

 

Also, the low order batsmen are wank. Which is realistic I guess but a bit boring.

 

Runs outs are improving, but the running is a bit "clunky"

 

Got beat by Bangladesh in the only match I have completed, so some work to do.

With my quicks I'm bowling a disciplined line outside the off stump and putting in a short cover. It's reaping benefits. That boy's taking three or four catches an innings.

I picked it up for 45 euro in Game. Its quite good. Running between the wickets is very hard. Also Can you only do a test series with England and Australia? Because when I got into Test match it will only let me pick them two.

Running gets easier. Generally, its better to be conservative about when you take a run.

So on "Ashes cricket 2009" the only test you can do is "The Ashes"?:whistle:

Its very hard to take wickets. Fields are very hard to set aswell.

 

The oppostion batsmen are stupid. They take 3's when there is only 2's. I ran someone out and they were half way down the crease and the other batsman wasnt even running.

It's a piece of piss Robbie. Set yourself a good off-side field and get bowling outside off stump. It'll be tight and there'll be wickets. The Aussie's are struggling to get 150 an innings to my bowling.

got it for the Wii. its alright but a bit easy. Just beat South Africa in a test on test level. Bowling can be boring and annoying when a so called perfect ball gets spanked for 4. Jimmy Anderson & Swann are an ace partneship by the way.

Not got the hang of spin bowling yet; getting spanked all over the park with Swann. Make sure you get someone in at short cover when you're bowling outside off stump. It'll stop single and also give you plenty of chance to pluck a catch on the drive if the shot's a bit uppish.

I tried that bowling outside off stump. Got Cook driving at one and it went straight to the man at short cover. I've got the ball swinging aswell.

No longevity this really. Batting is a bit too easy and bowling (in a test match) is boring.

Anyone tested the wii version? It isn't motion plus, so I can't see it using the remote very well.
