The Royal Family has no part in the running of the Crown Estate, and 88% of the profits from it go into general taxation.

Top journalism from The Eye, as always.

Hahaha.  I knew you'd be quick out of the blocks to defend the Monarchy.

Nobody claims that the Royal Family runs the Crown Estate, just like nobody claims Charles and Camilla do the shopping and cleaning for Buckingham Palace.  That doesn't justify them creaming off profits - typically 25%, reduced this year to 12% because the public employees who actually do run it have done so extremely profitably - from assets that (for the most part) should be owned and run by the State, in the public interest.

Top posting from you, as always.

Nope, just defending the facts. It's a hard job, but someone has to do it.

"Nobody claims that the Royal Family runs the Crown Estate" - but the first paragraph refers to the Crown Estate as Charles behaving like a medieval overlord. He has as much influence over the running of the Crown Estate as you do. Arguably less, because at least you can vote to change the government that runs it.

As a defender of the facts, you'll be happy when I point out the fact that it doesn't say that.

At the real risk of being forced to hand in my Wolfie Smith beret, some of the Crown Estate's property - shopping centres and stuff - firmly belongs in the private sector.

We all know the medical care afforded the Royals bears no relation to what the majority of us experience from the NHS but I don’t think Michael’s telling us the full story either. No way is someone reporting prostate ‘symptoms’ waiting 2 years for follow up

The fact that they've given him medication suggests it's BPH and they've probably given him something like Tamsulosin to ease the symptoms.

If there was any suggestion of it being cancerous he wouldn't have been waiting that long for review.

I experienced problems last year, dying for a wee and nothing  out for ages.and every 20 mins or so having that feeling, it was a nightmare as I had a driving g job at the time.Got a GP appointment, had the dreaded finger up the bum exam which confirmed an enlarged prostate, had blood test which ruled out cancer and have been taking one Tamsulosin a day,and everything is back to normal now thankfully. Its a horrible feeling though.

I wanted to rep you for the good news about the diagnosis and the outcome, but I wanted also to neg you for dreading the finger up the bum.  So all in all, I'm neutral on this one.
