That was one hell of a last match against thants. I even managed to play my 16 year old 4 bar defender to make sure he got 100% match experience.

 

A missed pen each

A red card each...even though Thants red card was right at the end

A couple of injuries and a flurry of bookings.

 

And in the end the Maniacs cruised in to 4th place... why worry about relegation...:whistle:

Once, once, near the start of Ultra League, four managers dropped out and I did the update without noticing, which fucked up the promotions and relegations for that season. Mongstock has never forgiven me and the rest won't let it lie. Even the fuckers who weren't even in the league then.

My first away win of the season in the Ultra! Hurrah!

 

Hearty congrats to Josey Wales on nicking second place in Div 3. Fucking close run thing with 4 of us all finishing on the same points but JW having the best GD. McLovin gotta be feeling the pain today as they had that second spot for most of the second half of the season.

 

Have really enjoyed my first X11 season, running close to the promotion spot and making the quarters in the Edwin Congo, so thanks to the lads that got me involved. I reckon Div 3 is going to be where it's at next season too, with a good few teams all pushing for that second place behind Aston Village People..

Been in charge of a league is hard work, I feel your pain RiS.

 

You see, this is why I can let it go now - with my own league adminny stuff, I understand the huge pressures involved in pressing a button that says "Create New Season" - particularly as the system asks you "Are you sure?".

 

I am just sad that The-Sir is leaving. Not that I would have been playing him next season (hopefully), but we had some great matches in the past.

Division 3 was the best battle of the league this season, unlucky for a few teams missing out on promotion on goal difference.

How many teams are we losing for next season RiScoe? Is it just Revolution Soccer? If so, then we have Moxters team to take over....will you be on another recruitment drive to bump the numbers again? are there any folks on the waiting list?

This is where it all get confusing. Revolution should be in div 1, but if they drop out I am not sure if one more team stays in div 1 (like when I stayed) or one more is promoted from 2 and then the same thing in Div 2. I really don't know how it works. Updates are fine, but when people leave from the upper divisions it causes problems. Pete, you fucker.

 

Also I had sacked Thomo123 from Fuckwits for a no show, but I have now reinstated him as a placeholder to make sure that we have the 40 teams. There is one place available if Thomo doesn't show up soon, but he will remain there at the start of the season if there is no one to replace him. Pete will stay sacked as he deffo wants out (the poof) and moxter takes his place in the league.

yep as thomo123's team is in div 3 next season it makes little difference. a new manager can either take over that team or get a new one.

You couls also give the existing managers the opportunity to take over the Revolution first... The first one to take the offer gets Revolution, while Moxter gets his/hers team... If no one applies, then give moxter the job.

True enough, and Pete announced his retirement a good few days ago now, and just like when S31 left The Panzers, nobody was forthcoming in registering their interest....let Moxter have the gig RiS, everybody knows whats happening then.

Plus the newly recruited manager, whoever that is, has a choice of Fuckwits, Twisted Firestarters or a new team of their own.

I agree... No one probably wants it. Most want to continue their own projects... But if some would like to jump a couple of division...taking the easy option... they should get the chance. If no one wants it in the next couple of days, then Moxter get`s it. Or Paul... I know he wants it...he just dont know it himself how badly he wants it.

 

Most important thing, though, is avoiding a RiS up regarding promotions and relegations.
