As Neko says

That is two totally different conversations. He is talking about 18 years olds. They had plenty of time to learn how to speak. I do agree with you that the last 5 or 6 years have crushed the idea of a "global community" in any way working together.

We’ve had 3 generations of everything being almost fucking perfect.  Things that killed our grandparents don’t really exist anymore.

You can literally change your fucking heart!

We’ve got vaccines for virtually everything and there’s something in your pocket that has the potential to link you to everything that’s ever been written, drawn or sung.

We’ve developed a vaccine to this threat in months and it’s available at no extra cost.

We’ve not got invaders at the door, we aren’t being bombed. Stop being soft cunts and get in with it.

That's the point though. No one wants to hear you tell them to pull their socks up - as quoted - cruisin' for three gens, which would comfortably include you. And me.

I’m more than happy to tell people to get a fucking grip. Stronts saying kids can’t speak because of masks is fucking risible.

Stop fucking moaning and get on.

Here’s a fucking revelation- Life ain’t fair

As I was walking my dog today, I noticed this bloke up the road getting a load of stuff out of his boot. The cut of his jeans were exactly what I've been looking for.

As I got closer, and he was bending into the car, I stopped, as I thought I could make out the telltale Levi's tag by the back pocket. I must have been staring at his arse for a while before I noticed his wife stood by the car watching me in disbelief.

I'm pretty sure it was lockdown's fault.

Was the dog humping his leg or yours?

Bizarre comment. It's well known that blind children take longer to learn to speak.

Is that because they can’t see anyone ?

I mean they don’t get selective sight when stuck at home with parents. how much of a kids development is centred on parents who won’t be wearing a mask or people outside who would be wearing a mask. During lockdown.

Come on man ffs.

How?

Well, first it's a numbers game. The earth isn't getting any bigger. So unless you have a magic wand to deliver infrastructure to previously uninhabitable areas there is a "relative to income" cost that you and I never could have imagined for just house and home. We are then going to ask the next generation to either transition away from fossil fuels or fail dramatically.

You next, why are your children going to enjoy an easier life?

Population isn’t predicted to continue to rise. It drops off a cliff in about 2050 as women across the world get autonomy.

In the last 20 yrs we’ve seen a massive move away from fossil fuels and to renewables.  Chuck in nuclear to balance demand and we could self sufficient in a couple of decades at most.

Medical science is continuing to lengthen life expectancy despite stupid cunts who won’t have a vaccine.

The pandemic has been horrific and I’ve not been shy in calling the daft cunts who say it’s not but it’s not killed as many as a war.

But that is where we are. After decades there are talks of nukes.

What specifically do you think points to your children having a "better" life (read safer, more economically secure, improved mindset etc)?

Well until the nukes hit I think Bill, Elon and Jeff have plans.

It's educationally messed up a generation. The older children, 9+ I'd say, are behind by about a year but catching up. The younger ones are lacking fundamental learning in maths and English which will need to be addressed, meaning what they need to learn in future won't happen.

Socially children seem to have changed. Their no sense of anything other than them. They're ego centric and struggle with sharing, conflict resolution and communication.

A broken generation.

I read something about this recently. They literally don't know how to talk because they haven't seen how human mouths make sounds. It's unbelievably sad.

If they have been in lockdown they have been in with their families right?

Don't they move their mouths when speaking?

Also look into "The Word Gap." Studies reckon that some children, mostly in poorer households, hear up to 30 million less words by the time they are 4.

Now throw lockdown into the mix, at home all day in households with fewer words and no opportunities to go to nurseries, socialise with other children and people where they would be exposed to hearing words.

It's one of the biggest challenges in Primary Schools at the minute.

So a mirror image of a lot of their parents then?
