The Champions League is now just a complete snoozefest, despite this week's dramatic match between Barcelona and PSG. It feels utterly predictable with the same few teams reaching the latter stages year after year, and it's set to get worse with UEFA changing the rules to guarantee four teams in the group stages every year from England, Spain, Germany and Italy, that's half of the places automatically taken by the leagues that can generate the most income. The new TV deal that UEFA just agreed with BT meaning that there won't even be highlights on terrestrial TV is a complete joke. Also group games soon to be kicking off at 6pm and 8pm to suit the Middle East despite it being a massive ballache for those fans actually attending the matches.

 

If we're in it I'll watch our games, but if we're not I couldn't be less arsed these days.
