His importance for the home games far outweighs that of an away series against a pretty poor West Indies side. I simply wouldn't risk him. His average in the Windies is good because they've been utter shit throughout his career.

Yeah I agree. There’s no doubt that change is needed but it mostly with the batting, not bowling. Fix that and then look at the transition away from these two.

Starting as we mean to go on, never mind we have all our bowling gems in the team, oh hang on.

 

Could undedstand leaving Broad and Anderson behind if they were blooding new young bowlers like Mahmood or whoever, but what will we learn about Woakes and Overton that we don't already know.
