*Shakes head* Everton again.

I'd loved to have seen the percentages had there been all these Liverpool forums back in May 1995 asking how many of us would be ok losing to Blackburn at Anfield to stop Man Utd winning the league?

I'd say comfortably 80-90% would have been ok with us losing that game pre kick off. Certainly the banners saying "Sorry, but today I'm a Blackburn fan" and all the Liverpool fans wearing Blackburn scarves suggests a high percentage.

Agreed. That's one of the very few, if not the only game I can remember thinking I wouldn't mind if we lost. Big difference though, that we didn't have anything riding on the game. Big difference.

Two big differences though.

1. The points didn't mean anything to us.

2. Our greatest ever player was managing the other team.

I'm guessing you'll get bladdered whether they win, lose or draw.

Would be great if it was 0-0 in the 87th minute and everton got a penatly thats wasnt even a penalty....I could see the whole ground booing as Baines or whoever steps up to take it and places it in the top corner.

Too much talk this week in the press about Everton doing them Imo, looked on bluemoon and that was their view also that Everton are setting themselves up for a fall.

I would have rather been hearing how Everton would never do us a favour as then their players might have a point to prove, now there's a bit of pressure on them to show they are up for it and its being made out as a tough test for city who will be determined to pass it.

True. But we had nothing to play for. When this game looked pivotal to their season they were 'torn' over it, i.e. only 15-20% were honest enough to publicly admit that they'd happily miss out on playing in the CL if they could deny us the title.
