How do you like your Steak cooked?

When I cook steak at home I normally chop a large bit off before I cook it and it eat. Fucking love.

I went to one of them Aberdeen Angus steakhouses that are all over the west end in London once. Ordered the most expensive steak on the menu and these two tiny fillets of steak came out. Both no bigger than half a cumberland sausage. Cost me 26 quid just for the steak alone, had to pay extra for chips etc. Fella next to me had a t-bone steak, 6 quid cheaper and it covered his plate. Mine was far far better. 

Steak? £26? Fuck me. How much would the same thing cost in a butchers? Serious question.

That's the same with any plate of decent food. You'll pay a large cost over what its actually worth in a butchers. Need to pay waiters,chefs,ingredients,rent etc

Our work took one of our clients out to a posh Edinburgh restaurant, The Witchery in March & the fillet steak I got in there was £42.

Its a Cuban sandwich - there is a int'l festival/contest held each year in Tampa in the Spring if you are around. Some guy from S Korea won it last year.

Tampa has waxed Miami for a few years straight on the podium.

Getting totally into Bavette steak at the minute it's cheaper than Fillet, Rump or Sirloin and far far tastier.

Rare. Sometimes blue, but mostly rare. To each their own... but anything cooked beyond that is an abomination and the chef and person ordering should both have their throats cut on site.

If I have steak in a tidy restaurant I'll go rare or occasionally blue. If the place is a bit scutty / of dubious hygiene, then I'll order a medium / medium well.

Not a huge fan of steak, I prefer beef cooked in a different way. Like brisket, or stewed in a nice gravy. If I’m having a steak it’ll be a ribeye. Medium if it’s a great place.
