Gotta love the importance people take in putting up a list like it's set in stone and if they forget a film it's the end of the world. It's just a list of films.

needs a poll, i think.

someone list all the movies ever made and we'll vote - that's the best way to decide.

i forgot to add my vote for pulp fiction, btw.

edit: dammit ! life of brian too.

i've hardly watched ten movies in my life, so i can only think of the following...

the cat in the hat

cat people

that darn cat

cats & dogs

the truth about cats and dogs

fritz the cat

all movies that you could watch a thousand times.

No surprises there.

nope - haven't seen any of those.

did watch a dog movie the other day with the wife though. she was crying on the sofa over these husky dogs that were supposedly abandoned in antartica.

eight below ? it was okay, except it didn't have a single cat in it.

Far from definitive, but a stab at it (no order)

There Will Be Blood (PTA)

Casablanca (Curtiz)

The Apartment (Wilder)

Dr Strangelove (Kubrick)

The Kid (Chaplin)

Taxi Driver (Scorcese)

Leon (Besson)

The Third Man (Reed)

Fargo (Coen)

The Sun's Burial (Oshima)

no room for Haneke, Miyazaki, Tarantino, Fassbinder or Boyle.

It's a very difficult thing to do, but here's my Top 10 in order, off the top of my head:

1. Pulp Fiction

2. One Flew Over...

3. Goodfellas

4. The Godfather 2

5. Taxi Driver

6. Into the Wild

7. Casino

8. Resevoir Dogs

9. The Dark Knight

10. Raging Bull

There are films in there which probably wouldn't make a lot of people's top 100, but these are just some personall favourites.
