Mike Owen, a Liverpool supporter holidaying in the Arab state, revealed to Click Liverpool that he saw a man who he believed to be Gillett walking through the extravagant Dubai Mall on Wednesday afternoon.

He said: "I was in Dubai Mall and caught the glimpse of a familiar face.

"After he had passed I realised it was George Gillett, or at least someone identical to him."

Interesting, Richard Buxton aka flagpole corner possibly looking for article hits?

RAK sheikh seeks Liverpool FC talks - report

by Andy Sambidge Tuesday, 15 December 2009

Members of the ruling family of Ras Al Khaimah are seeking talks with owners of Liverpool Football Club to discuss possible investments, it was reported on Tuesday.

The English Premier League club, a target for Middle East investors, could get an injection of cash from an influential UAE sheikh, newswire Zawya Dow Jones reported.

It said the emirate officials hoped to meet with the club's US owners George Gillet Jr and Tom Hicks to discuss investing in the club, citing an unnamed senior official in the emirate.

it doesn't matter if they are looking at 'investing'. We'd still have those two around and how can it get any better with having a third owner to try and agree on things?

Anyway that article has more quotes than Bascombe's article about Torres wanting to leave but everyone on here was quick to believe that
