Gutted Union Berlin are out

Marie-Louise Eta made history as she became the first female coach to take charge of a Bundesliga fixture, guiding Union Berlin to victory over Darmstadt.

The 32-year-old former Germany youth international was named as an assistant first-team coach for Die Eisernen earlier this season.

She took charge of the Bundesliga strugglers for their home game against bottom club Darmstadt with Nenad Bjelica suspended.

What a brutal tournament structure.

Both those clubs were out on their feet at the end, and DRC will still have to play 3 matches to win it all.

It's the same structure as the Euros since 2016, and the World Cup between 1986 and 1994.

Played in the heat and humidity of Africa.

With the prospect of returning, in most cases, for a second half of a professional season.

1994 World Cup was played in a microwave oven. Stan Staunton came back with a suntan.

Ivory Coast have been shite as well. Saying that, they could have been playing against 10 if VAR had gotten knvolved with that Mane tackle in the first half.

Fuck knows why Cisse is complaining, the penno he was claiming for wouldn't have been given in a million years.
