I know he's injury prone but theirs no way you could play anywhere near to your capacity with an ear infection. It fucks up your balance for a start and even if he did want to play I'd doubt if Klopp would put him in.

Ronaldo must have the same problem as he failed to hear the manager the other day when he called him on the pitch.

We have more than our fair share of "injury prone" players Ox, Naby, Thiago and recently Henderson, but this season it's become relentless surely somebody needs to take a look at the fitness staff and the Physio team (has there been a big change this summer?) because they should shoulder some of the blame here are they being over cautious forcing players to miss games when in the past a few painkillers and they play (Thiago today)?

The number of games last season for a group which has a large number of injury prone players I think is a factor.

However you do wonder about the issues with the likes of Jota and Nunez. Players in their early to mid 20s shouldn't be picking up the number of injuries or struggling with 2 games a week.

Schlumberger was promoted in the summer, Moxon left and they are still looking to appoint a doctor (I think Andy Massey's wife is the acting doc). You do wonder if the club are religiously following the advice given by the American data company as it was much trumpeted for helping us towards the back-end of last season. Maybe our adoption has been more extreme this season.

Ear infections can.be an absolute bastard no doubt about it. But it's not just that with Thiago, it's anything. Any knock any niggle. He's a cry off cry baby and I for one would be delighted if he was included in the midfield cull.

There is a rumour going around that his Tommy Hilfigger watch has left a nasty bruise on his left hand.
