The fact that the site was left to rot for a couple of decades after was a bit shit. And now they're going to build hundreds of flats on the old landfill, with one single carriageway in and out.

I haven't read her article, but the 'left-wing economic establishment' presumably include such Marxists as the bankers in the City, the Bank of England, and the IMF, all of whom moved against her tax-cutting agenda.
