Made up with that Chelsea result tonight. Hey everybody remember that time we only needed to not lose 2 - 0 at Anfield against Arsenal to win the league with one of our (arguably) best ever league sides? Actually I think the emotional trauma of Hillsborough played a massive part in that. We are unbeaten at home in the league this season. If we lose this and Chelsea win it would have to down as one of the biggest collapses since Devon Loch.

Arsenal were a handy side then. Brighton not quite as good.

We've suffered some ridiculous home defeats over the years to some of the worst teams ever seen in the league so it's not completely beyond us to contrive to to somehow lose this match. Very unlikely though. With the pressure off, I think we'll win comfortably. We did give them a hiding in the away game so hopefully we'll put on a similar display and end the league season on a high.

Losing this effectively hands Chelsea a life line into the CL, which is just not acceptable.

It’s worse than that though, because if we don’t get at least a point, make no mistake about it, this team will choke in Kiev.

This team has not proved to me yet , that it is convincing in big showdowns when the stakes are at pressure cooker level.

The Brighton result is the key that unlocks the whole treasure trove.

Don’t fuck it up, you namby pamby pack of big girls blouses.

Except Milner.

The team has done well in Europe this year in very high pressure games.

Last season they won 3 and drew 1 of their final 4 games to qualify for this season's champions league.

The alleged bottling of the 2 finals in Klopp's 1st season contained just 3 of the players that will start in Kiev (fingers crossed).

The manager has added a steel to the team since then and while still not the finished article it is harsh to accuse this team of being flighty.

This. To be honest I cannot get my head round peoples comments like not acceptable will choke etc but each to their own beliefs I guess.

Mane a doubt for Sunday.

Sadio Mane is a fitness doubt for Liverpool's crunch Premier League clash with Brighton at Anfield on Sunday.

The Senegal international picked up a knock during last weekend's defeat to Chelsea and has missed a number of training sessions this week.

He was involved in the warm-up with the squad at Melwood on Friday but didn't play a full part in the session.

The absence of the 19-goal winger would be a major blow for the Reds as they seek the point they need to guarantee themselves a top-four finish.

Asked if Mane would be fit, Klopp said: "We will see. It is not the same injury. It's a fresh problem."

Liverpool can ill afford to lose another key man after injuries to the likes of Joel Matip, Joe Gomez, Emre Can and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.

Klopp was hoping to have Can back in training this week but the results of a scan on his back proved inconclusive.

The Germany international is losing his battle to be fit for the Champions League final against Real Madrid on May 26.

"I cannot and I don’t want to close the door on him," Klopp said.

"Of course it would have been better if he had come back on Monday and said ‘all fine, let’s start’.

"That would have been three weeks (to the final). Now there’s less time but we will see."
