It was a difficult fight to score. It depends on what you want to see. You could see Canelo outboxing him, playing possum on the ropes, barely getting hit and countering effectively. You could see Golovkin being the aggressor, closing down the ring, forcing him to fight and landing at a higher volume. It's open to interpretation.

Strange fight, thought Canelo looked the boss when they exchanged but GGG didn't stop all night. Definitely on for a rematch

I saw it as canelo taking a pummelling against the ropes and him landing the odd alehouse dig in return. (excluding a few rounds)

 

I'll watch it again sober tomorrow before I fully make up my mind, but I think if that's anybody other than canelo in that ring then the result greatly favours ggg.
