From The Echo:

I’m told there has been NO new bid from Liverpool for Shakhtar Donetsk attacker Alex Teixeira.
Some reports had suggested the Reds had upped their offer for the prolific Brazilian from £24million to £28million.

As reported yesterday, the ECHO understands there is still a big difference between the two clubs’ respective valuations of the player with Shakhtar demanding close to £40million.

How the fuck is Ramires worth £25m? If we sell Allen in the summer we'd get about £5m for him. He's not wanted by Chelsea, he's nearly 29 and he's been a bit part player for over two seasons.

Most blatant money laundering i've ever seen, even worse than David Luiz. So they just create £25m from nothing? just at the exact moment when they need to outbid us on a player? Nah! not buying that at all.

28m is more than enough.

Surely if we have 28m to spend we must have other options? There has to be other very good strikers you could tempt with that kind of money?

Sound daft as its only 2m extra, but once you hit £30m its almost like it cranks up the pressure- he'd have to be an instant hit. United seem to have gotten away relatively lightly for blowing a gazzilion on Martial with little to show for it

Got to agree with that. The reported £38 million they are demanding is one heck of a sum of money. I would like to see us sign Teixeira but our initial valuation of £24.5 is probably about right. Wouldn't mind us spending a couple more millions to get him but you would have to think £38 million will have a negative impact on potential reinforcements in other positions. And, we all know we have more than one position that needs reinforcing. No one single signing is gonna win us the title (well, unless maybe his first name is Luis and his surname is Suarez).

I agree, Neecastle were apparently bidding 20m for Lacazette a couple of weeks ago, why are we not in for him.Leverkusen signed Hernandez for something like 10m, if we double that we should be close to what it would cost to get him and he would be a massive success here.Hes someone who just wants to score goals and stay in the box while we have a squad full of players who don't want to shoot and would be looking to set him up most times.

Today is a very good day for my family. A friend informed me that the Teixeira PC Computer backs and wallpapers that my mum designed and posted on her the other week as been widely appreciated and shared throughout the internet. But most of all - they were loved by the man himself, Alex Tex!

Can you do one of him alongside the lyrics to Sexbomb but substituting the S for a T?

Fucking hell you posted something sensible!

Yes why the fuck are we not bidding for lacazette indeed if we have 25mill to burn.

Everyone knows you overpay in the January window. But fuck it, this is the reality;

we spunked £33m on benteke, we spunked another £20m om markovic. That's over £50m right there, both are likely to be sold in the summer, we'll take £20m for benteke (if we're lucky) and £12m - 15m for markovic again, if we're lucky.

I take it there's no need to throw balotelli's £16m in the mix?

The point is, if we buy Texeira for £35m plus add ons, is he going to transform the team more than benteke and markovic will or would if both were here?

The risk is we play hardball again and see chelsea, city or someone else buy him for the same money in the summer.

Im fucked off pissing around paying top money for shit players who cant handle it. Anyone think Texeira cant handle it fair enough.

Fortune favours the brave. Get the fucking deal done and start moving this club's transfers in the direction of a supposedly world's top 8 club instead of the mickey mouse outfit we regularly are shown to be in the transfer market.

In short, put up or fucking shut up FSG.

If the Chinese league want to buy a superstar player to showcase their league the there's 684 names that id try before Ramires for £25m.

Everything about this reeks.

They could take Balotelli for that much. He's always touted as some sort of superstar. Come on Mino Raiola, earn your corn and correct the fuck up you were such a big part of.

Russians using UK as a safe money laundering haven shocker.

Half the luxury apartments in London bought by dodgy shell companies on behalf of Putins acolytes. Mind you he gets his kick backs , Even Abramocash has to pay tribute to his sugar daddy as the BBC article today highlights (extract below)

"Dmitry Skarga, who used to run the state shipping company Sovcomflot, says he oversaw the transfer of a $35m yacht to Mr Putin. Mr Skarga says the 57m-long Olympia was a gift from Britain's most famous Russian - the Chelsea football club owner Roman Abramovich".

Britons most famous Russian has distorted and destroyed the game I love and is and how anyone can take pride in supporting Chelsea football club is beyond belief. The stench from Stamford Bridge has spread far and wide

On the one hand, we sell ourselves to potential players as big shots from the richest league in football history. On the other hand, we try to lowball their clubs.

We're rolling in cash at the moment. As all the big English teams are. If we want the player, pay up. If not, shut the fuck up.

Could you imagine the reality show to go with it

Mario at large in Beijing

It would be one boring ass show though.

Just endless hours of benteke strolling around with his hands in his pockets and with a miserable/surprised look on his grill.

Is Ayre in charge of negotiating deals or do FSG decide?

Someone there needs to spend 30 seconds on Wikipedia and spot that Douglas Costa, their last big player, sold for £30m.

Any bid below that is just a waste of everyone's time.

They know English clubs are minted. And they don't need the money. So, we pay up. Or we don't get him.

Costa sold for 30 million euros and we've offered 32 for Teixeira, so I don't think you can criticize Ayre for our opening offer.
