The best Bluray was the two disc steel book of Re-Animator. A 4k restoration, it looks absolutely stunning.

Film: "Leviathan." If you haven't seen this film then do, you won't regret it. Overall very good acting. 

 

DVD: "12 years a slave" and an honourable mention for "The fault in our stars." Bit of a teeny romance film but a poignant subject and very well acted.  

 

TV Series: Cosmos A Spacetime Odyssey.

I saw Interstellar on Thursday, it is a supremely good piece of cinema.

TV - Gomorrah.

I saw Gravity at the pictures and thought that what made it good was immersing yourself in the whole thing.  I would have thought it wouldn't work watching it at home - you lose that immersion and your left to notice how weak the characters are and how clunky the dialogue is.

Captain America: Winter Soldier. By far the best film I've seen this year and stands up to repeated viewing. Guardians of the Galaxy was great fun too.
