Not sure its ego with Rodgers. I think he's confused, and under a level of pressure he's never felt before. First season, he got carte blanche especially because of the shite he inherited, second season we overachieved. He's spent lots of money on new players. It's on him now, it's his team, and he's got to make it work, and quickly. Three losses in the first five league matches is pathetic, and we were shit against Southampton as well.

On the head. Personally, I chalked our success last year up to the phenomenal efforts of Suarez, with not much to do with Rodgers. This year, it's all on him and to have the team come out cold again is a bit much.

I think the first goal came from the left off a set piece, the second directly from the left off the break.

So you mean our right hand side in the air? Like the CB? Off a set -Once?

They were placing the ball into the same area time and time again whether from normal play or a set piece.  They nearly got a third goal doing the same thing at one point.

This is revisionist shite.

Suarez was a huge factor, undeniable.

But are you forgetting Rodger's blitzkrieg game plan against the likes of Everton and Arsenal at home?

Bit disrespectful to totally disregard Rodgers' role in last seasons performances.

We've spent 120 million to field an inferior first eleven, that in and of itself is mental. We'd of got better results this season fielding Mig, Enrique, Agger, Skrtel, Johnson, Gerrard, Henderson, Allen, Coutinho, Sterling, Sturridge every game than this current lot trotting out for us.

Well yeah, if we'd had Sturridge and allen available for our last two games we probably would've won them as well.

Edit: also, short of signing messi or Ronaldo, our starting 11 was always going tobe markedly worse this season.

Nah it was just suarez, that's why in the time we had him we finished 7th, 8th and 7th... Oh, wait...

Of course Rodgers had a massive impact last season, to say otherwise is just insane.

So we contest the decision, with a world class player that will fire us back after christmas. If your going to sell Suarez go out and spend 40 million on Sanchez, Falcao, Di Maria or Reus, just one of them, that's all we need. Instead of signing Lovren, we keep Agger. Instead of spending 25 million on Lallana we buy a defensive midfielder that can actually defend.

You know like the things that everyone said in the summer, sign a top player to replace Suarez, Gerrard can't play that amount of games, we need a proper defensive midfielder etc, pretty obvious to everyone else, except in seems the transfer committee.

I don't worry about our squad too much, but Rodgers has been backed into a corner with the injuries to Can and Allen. No getting around that with 3 games in a week for Gerrard.

Deficient performances elsewhere but they're all linked to the ongoing no-show from Gerrard.

Errrrrr, part of the problem is we haven't been able to field Sturridge and Allen

I liked the fact Brendan changed the formation when needed. He almost got us back in with that. We've been dealt a bad hand this season. Last year a much better one. But the manager makes changes and is progressive, so I hold out hope he will sort out this mess. I also think Balotelli is doing much better than most of us imagined he would, including me. Moreno and Manquillo are also great buys. Let' be "philosophical" about losing to a fired up West Ham with a few new players who are decent and others with points to prove, not to mention our injuries, and remember it is a marathon and not a sprint.

Exploited our right hand side with diagonal balls over the top from our left time and time again scoring two goals in the process.  Easily defended against us as well.  Out done by Fat Sam.

But yeah it was all because they were dirty cunts....

We were shit defending their first attack. Im not convinced the second wasnt an attempted cross. We never recovered from being two goals down in 7 minutes.

Out done by fat sam? If you want to think that. There's no escaping the fact one of their players should have been red carded for that two footed lunge. He wouldnt have been on the pitch to score the 3rd when we were looking for an equaliser.

The ref was atrocious but we were no better

But yeah, we lost because we were outdone by fat sam.......

The ref didn't give us shit, should have a pen when the keeper kicked Borini (could be Red, could be yellow), should have been a Straight Red when Cuntuoutye or whatever the fuck his name is tried to kill Moreno, and should have been a red for the tackle you mentioned.

That said, we were still woeful.
