Watched the first few episodes of the first series and thought it was a good premise but poorly played out.

Yeah, much of the first series seemed pretty wooden and clunky but it picks up as it goes along.

Just watched the first 5 episodes and I'm really enjoying Kingdom. A bit slow to start off with but the last couple of episodes have nicely ratcheted up the pace.

 

Lisa is fit as fuck, and I think Jay is an ace character. Keith is the main man though.

Good lad. Starts off a bit slowly, as it sets the scene, introduces characters and builds plot lines, but once all that shit's out of the way we are off.

 

Quality BBC fare, lavishly done, superbly plotted and acted, and (at only 6 episodes per series) short enough to keep you gripped. And the soundtrack is fucking ace too.

Midway through Kingdom now and really enjoying it. Every character is likable and Keith is a great character to break up the machoness of the main characters, the fruit shagging legend.

 

Also can you believe Frank Grillo is in his 50's? Thought he was late 30's max.

Just finished watching Kingdom and really enjoyed it (cheers NV).

 

Pleased it's been commissioned for two further series because it's shown great promise and pacing. Can't help feeling that there was a little something missing though, some suspense and tension.

 

Hopefully the two latino gang bangers will have bigger parts in the second series. And Keith and his melon, obvs.

 

Not much on the go atm, really looking forward to Banshee 3 in the New Year, fucking LOVE that.

I really liked Kingdom's relationship between Jay and the mom, etc. I did feel that the final episode lacked a little 'bang', though. I was expecting something big. Maybe the next 10 are the second half of the 1st season?
