From The Echo:

Coutinho 'to miss 5-6 weeks' with ankle injury

The news is in, and it’s not good folks.

Philippe Coutinho is expected to miss 5-6 weeks with ankle ligament damage, after undergoing a scan this afternoon.

That rules him out until the New Year, a big blow for Liverpool at a critical time of year.

....

Actually, I'm relieved it wasn't worse

Origi was back in 4 last year. This might make some teams open up a bit more against us. At least I hope so. Lallana looks like he will be back for the weekend. Gini should also be considered for one of the wide player positions on occasion. He can score goals when used in that way.

It's a fucking disaster...in effect with him fucked and mane off to that african shite we have two months or so without at least one of probably out two most effective players - one knock to firmino away from being in real trouble.

If we can get to end of Jan anywhere near top we will have done very very well.

Oh well, could've been a lot worse.

As for all those cry-arses on twitter or anywhere else on the internet, who are now shitting it because Coutinho is out. Get a grip and have a bit of faith in Klopp and the rest of the team to win us the games while Phil is out. We aren't a one man team.

Shit news but could have been worse. Hopefully we stay away from further injuries as our squad lacks depth.

You say we lack depth, but we've just won without Coutinho, Sturridge, Lallana and Ings.

I don't know which other team would cope with that sort of talent missing from their attack.

TBF Ings hasn't been a part of our squad for the majority of the time and Sturridge is more or less the same. Obviously Coutinho and  Lallana on current form would be missed by anybody, but we can't afford to lose anymore of our top players is my point.
