Tonight in Bucharest. Bilbao really impressed me with some of their play in the earlier rounds, especially against the Mancs and Shalke. Didn’t see much of Madrid other then highlights, so don’t know how they could perform.

Looking forward to it though. What’s everyone’s thoughts on it then? Will any of you be watching or are you too good for the UEFA Cup? You cunts. Yeah, I said it!

Stan is one of an increasing army of co-commentators who yap on more than the main guy. Yadda yadda, right the way through the whole game.

Two cracking goals by Falcao. He really is an exceptional striker.

Bilbao are a bit like us in the FA Cup final in that some of their players look a bit overawed by the occasion, though they are playing a lot better than we did in that first half. Their quick tempo possession play isn't working that well so the likes of Llorente aren't getting into the game. At the same time, they are also too open in midfield so Atletico are playing through them.

Bilbao need a sustained period of pressure to create some proper chances, if they can't get an early goal back.

Impressed by Falcao (again) and Diego, but a few of the lesser known Atleti names have stood out for me.

Think that Gabi and Suarez have been excellent in the engine room. Tigerish. Did their job to perfection. Hunted down the ball, won it back and gave it to the more creative players ahead of them.

Miranda has played well at the back too.

Alas, it also looks like Chelsea have got themselves a great prospect in goal with Cortouis. A very composed performance for someone his age.
