It's on the official now, basically saying it's a way to "aggressively explore global business opportunities to drive revenue growth for LRMR and LeBron James, as well as for all the other powerful clubs and brands in the Fenway Sports Group family".

Why? It's effectively just another stakeholder in FSG. There's already 14 or so. He won't have any more say than any of them and considerably less than Henry and Werner.

 

He wants to be a global brand and they want to establish FSG and LFC in the US. It's why they bought the club and why we aren't leveraged to fuck anymore.

no you underestimate how thick footballers are. They want to be associated with stars.

 

They really are a thick, vain lot. I'm in agreement that, absurdity of absurdities, LeBron James having any association with us gives us a bit more street cred, if you will. Can't hurt. Perhaps he can even replace Brad Jones? He's got long reach, probably very quick reflexes.
